The Company was incorporated under the provisions of the Company Act of the Province of British Columbia on February 24, 1997 as J.P.T. Resources Ltd., and changed its name to Horizon Industries Ltd. on June 7, 1999.
The Company was listed effective January 2, 2001 and received final acceptance to its Qualifying Transaction on October 8, 2002. As a result, on October 9, 2002, the Company was no longer considered to be a Capital Pool Company. The Company's trading symbolis "HRZ".
The Company is an emerging petroleum and natural gas exploration company and is currently devoted to the negotiation of an acquisition of, participation in or an investment ofan interest in petroleum and natural gas properties.
On December 22, 2003, the Company formed a wholly-owned subsidiary, Horizon Industries (USA), Ltd., which was incorporated in the State of Nevada. All current and future petroleum and natural gas interests will be legally held by this wholly-owned U.S. subsidiary.
